Study Plan for General Knowledge:
You should follow a good book on General knowledge and Current affairs. Reading of Competitive magazines and editions will also provide extra cushions. You should classify this subject into different sub-sections and study it module wise. Ex- History, Polity, Geography, Current affairs, Science, Life Sciences, General awareness etc. You should also practice a good question bank dedicated for SSC CGL examination which will eventually increase your speed and accuracy.
Key Points:-
Reference book: 2 hrs daily
Current Affairs: 30 minutes daily
Question Bank: 1 hr daily
Study Plan for Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude:
Buy a good reference book and a question bank on reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude available in market. You should start with basic concepts and practice with given problems in end of each chapter. Once you finish reference book and go through all basic concepts, start solving question bank. You should repeat it above mentioned practice to increase the speed and also accuracy.
Key Points:-
Reference Book: 1. Basic Concepts: 1 hr. daily 2. Problem Solving Practice: 1 hr daily
Question Bank: Initial Phase: 100 Questions in 2 hrs daily, Middle Phase: 150 Questions in 2 hrs daily, Final Phase: 200 questions in 2 hrs daily
Study Plan for English:
English paper contains questions based on Vocabulary, Comprehension, Sentence ordering, Error and correction. So, one should practice questions based on all above mentioned sub-sections. For vocabulary section, you should take a dose of 5 words daily so that you can make a word power of most frequently used 1000 English words. you should also make 2 sentences on each word daily to increase familiarity with these words. you should read newspaper daily and try to read fast so that you can perform good in Comprehension section. For other section, Solve a good Question Bank and model test papers.
Key Points:-
Vocabulary: Keep a pocket diary and revise it whenever you get time.
Comprehension: Solve 2 long comprehensions daily in 20 minutes.
Sentence ordering and Error/Correction: Initial Phase: 30 questions in 30 minutes (15 from each section), Final Phase: 30 question in 15 Minutes.
Note: 2 Week before the examination, you should solve model test paper daily in similar examination environment which can increase your speed and accuracy and you can perform better in real examination.
